Drifting….to the Little Bluff Mounds Trail Opening
What a fun-filled weekend of archaeology! On the evening of June 1st, Ernie and I provided a presentation to the Gale-Ettrick Class of 1955 on the Archaeology of Trempealeau County. Such a wonderful group of people who came together to celebrate, and we were honored to be a part of it.
On Saturday, June 2nd, Ernie and Geri Schrab offered a free public program on rock art at Roche a Cri State Park. A huge congratulations to them as they celebrate their newly minted Midwest Book and IBPA Benjamin Franklin Awards for Hidden Thunder: Rock Art of the Upper Midwest. To purchase the book, visit our store.
The weekend was capped with a ribbon cutting and opening celebration for the Little Bluff Mounds Trail in Trempealeau, Wisconsin. Nice coverage of the event on the front page of the La Crosse Tribune. A fantastic turnout with many community members present! Thank you Trempealeau!
